Xochitl Calloway

We are happy to announce that we are 5 months pregnant (22 wks) today and are expected to deliver our bundle of joy on August 12.

We just found out last night on the second attempt (first time baby had its legs crossed)that IT's A GIRL! We will be naming her Xochitl Calloway. Xochitl is pronounced Xochitl (So-Cheel).

We have endured a rollercoaster of emotions these past several months, many dont know this but last October at two and a half months pregnant I suffered a miscarriage. With the grace of God and lots of "love" we were happy to find out shortly after that we were expecting again. Pregnancy after miscarriage is definitely bitter sweet. From feeling happy and blessed to worrying about the health and well being of the baby, or worrying about having another miscarriage. Each day has its ups and downs. In the end, I know I have to hold onto my faith and depend on the love and support of my family and friends and come August we'll be blessed with a healthy baby to hold in our arms!

This pregnancy has been a bit more complicated but we have been pushing forward excited to know that the baby is very healthy.

We'll forever miss you "Pop"

Wille Lee Calloway died Sunday, August 8, 2010. He was born March 17, 1933 to Berry and Alice Calloway in Mt. Hope, West Virginia. Wille retired from the USAF after 21 years of service including 2 tours of Vietnam and he also retired from the USPS. He is survived by his wife, Gail, 3 sons, Drew (Seneik) of Dumfries, Virginia, Judd and Lane both of Colorado Springs, his grandson, Drew Jr. and granddaughter, Keira both of Dumfries, Virginia, Wille was pre-deceased by his beloved daughter, Keira. Also surviving him is his sister, Patricia Lewis of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a number of nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2010 at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs and afterwards at the Retired Enlisted Association, 834 Emory Circle, Colorado Springs. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Wille's name to National Alliance of Mental Health, att. Donations coordinator, 1100 Fillmore St., Denver, CO, 80206.

~New Floaties~

Keira's first time out in the pool on her own. She turned 18 months today officially one and a half years old. :)

She was very persistent and very brave. She wanted no help.
